The Pitfalls of Polygamy or Spreading Yourself too Thin
When I was going to university back in the early 1970's, women were burning their bras and giving away the goodies with reckless free abandon. Us guys loved it. We got a chance to spread our genes and savor the juicy bits of life.
But then, the times moved forward, and folks had divided families and divided loyalties and uncertainty about trust and where they wanted to be. They divided families again and again and I see the results almost 40 years later.
Kids that are screwed up as grown ups. Assets divided up so many times they might as well be in the trash bin and old age to look forward to with no loyal trusting families or partners. Kids that are on drugs and still at home at 40.
Was it good for you? It was not for so many that I know. There was a lot of hurt and wasted time and wasted lives and dead ends and new starts and still more new starts. Me, me, me was the new paradigm and now narcissim is the motto of the new generation. Look after number 1 and screw the rest. Is this the world we wanted back then.
Is this where love and peace leads to? The agenda of liberation for abused women rapidly got stolen by the lesbian movement and became a hate men movement which saw the feminization of public schools and the loss of boyhood and manhood in society. Abusing men became OK.
The nuclear family, the most successful institution in the world which has produced most of the great women and men of the world, became trash and men got kicked out of traditional male jobs in droves and depression, drugs, alcohol and suicide flourished.
Kids lost their gender identities and every imaginable way became cool. Was this what liberation was looking for? The release of the Bonobo genes? Since those days, there have been more serial killers than ever before in history and the commonality is that their mothers are single parents who dress and treat their boys like girls.
STDS are so common now it is an epidemic and the drug culture softened by soft drugs matured into a global pandemic of hard and experimental drugs. Women are now dying of the stress related diseases like heart disease that used to be the primary domain of men.
So I have to ask and I am sure a few of you are also asking, was liberation and free love really liberating and free? Whats your take?
