Mt. Robson North Wall; Hike

March 19, 2008 / by quarksandgenes

There is a spectacular view of the glacier which was calving off and sliding with great roars into Berg Lake. I thought of them as the sad death cries of a dying giant, one that we had killed. Also obvious is the spectacular North Wall of Mt. Robson, one of the most difficult ascents in Canada. Very few have climbed it.

Me with the North Wall behind from the mountain west of it.

We took refuge for a brief respite in a cave from the cold wind and rain at this high elevation. Ugh Me Cave Man, the Cro-Magnon on the left.
