If China Was a Democracy

IF CHINA WERE A CAPITALIST DEMOCRACY

An enormous number of people would starve to death each year and a huge number would be unable to afford medical care. There would be unbelievable suffering and class conflict and social unrest everywhere. Its probably a good thing its not a democracy.

In the midst of enormous wealth in the city I live in, in Canada, which is in a capitalist democracy, there are people who cannot afford dentists and eyeglasses and there are numerous homeless living on the streets, many mentally ill. I went through a period of unemployment once and lived a year with a painful decaying molar. I finally pulled it out myself with a pair of pliers but left broken bits inside. As my gums were being torn to pieces do you think I was singing praises to democracy? To hell with democracy if you are poor. Dictators don't have to kill the unwanted, they commit suicide each and every day in order to end their misery. Check the stats and the morgues and see if I am not right.

Communism, with its abominable human rights record, isn't the answer but neither is democracy when a nation becomes so populous. The poor and the sick become disenfranchised and fall through the cracks and experience has shown class division deepens until it hits a crisis level. It simply does not have enough caring for each and every human being. Theocracies are faschistic and differ from communism only in name. Monarchies pander only to boot-lickers. What is needed is a system that guarantees each and every human being basic life sustaining human rights and means it, no exceptions except for those who hurt others.

I think that a computer program developed by MIT and Oxford could manage the human populations of the world better than any political system and its time to give it a try. Wildlife management principles applied to human populations would be much more sustainable than Wall Street economic globalization principles. Furthermore, Presidents should be hired, not voted in, so we can fire the bastards when their lies turn up.
