Dalai Lama China's Best Asset

May 4, 2008 / by quarksandgenes

If China adopts the Dalai Lama as a resource instead of a liability, they will benefit immensely. He represents the richest aspect of cultural diversity and the culture he represents is old and vibrant and dynamic and it works and is worthy of at least as much protection as Panda Bears get.

The pursuit of happiness  in harmony with nature is the greatest pursuit of humanity and the Tibetan people are perhaps the closest to this ideal in the world. China has and opportunity now to adopt the Dalai Lama as its greatest Son and most wise Father and teach his teachings in all schools so that all can benefit from the lessons of such an old and successful culture.

To try to change the unique Tibetan people to the melted down Chinese culture where identity means nothing, is to perhaps lose the greatest opportunity to find happiness and harmony and the meaning of life itself. I hope China wakes to this wonderful opportunity to embrace  this rich heritage.
