The absence of any observable effect of policy on greenhouse gas reduction.
I have had a look again at the curve of atmospheric CO2 for which we owe enormous gratitude to David Keeling at Mauna Loa Observatory and present it here in order to see how our policies on greenhouse gas emissions have worked.
You can see from looking at it that there is no apparent impact of any CO2 reduction policy yet taken on this planet that has had any visible impact on the relentless growth of the CO2.
Where do we stand in terms of the earth's past history? Well, Keeling followers have established the following curve from ice cores in the polar regions.
You can see that we are completely out of line with all of the major forces that have shaped climate on this planet. We have exceeded the output of any natural source including all volcanoes and asteroid impacts and climate events for at least 400,000 years before present.

My conclusion and prediction:
We are doomed. Sorry, but thats all I have to say about it. I am a rational man and any other rational person would reach the same conclusion. We are all talk and no significant action. This planet is in crisis mode and we are the rotten culprit.
The only rational goal for this gas is back to 260-280 ppm. That is the natural interglacial level. When do we need to do it. Now, not tomorrow and not ten years from now. We have to stop what we are doing before its too late. Shakespeare's phrase' 'Much Ado About Nothing' sums up what we have done so far to fix it.
We are the most dangerous animal that ever walked the face of this planet (Farley Mowat). T Rex, eat your heart out and if you were here, we would do it for you. These curves demonstrate the most wicked evil that has ever befallen this planet and I borrow my Old Country friend here to curse humanity in Finnish.
Finnish is ideal for cussing because nobody understands a word of it, not even the Finns. They heard it from their Dads who heard it from their Dads and on and on and passed it on. Its an ancient Finnish tradition.
